UX – Research
First of all: surveys
As part of the user research, interviews were conducted with users of various profiles.
A total of 12 individuals were asked to answer questions about their daily routines, personality, and habits when meeting new people. They were also required to describe both themselves and their ideal partner
Have you ever used a dating app?
Do you think it’s necessary to admire the other person?
What’s your type?
Got any ideas on how to break the ice with your crush?
Does a guy have to be funny to catch your eye?
Are you a self-confident person?
Do you understand women’s language?
Are you a gentleman?
By analysing the users’ responses to the questions, a number of conclusions were drawn, such as:
- 72.7% perceive themselves as being ‘average’.
- 84% reported their primary life goal as achieving stability in all areas
- None of the interviewees believed that they had good dating skills
- 54.5% have used a dating app and would consider using one again
Creating the user persona:
Through these interviews, we were able to empathize with the user, understanding their needs, characteristics, goals, and other information that helped us create a typical user profile: the User Persona.
User journey:
A visual user journey map was developed to illustrate the steps a user takes when engaging with our product or service.
This enabled us to empathize with the user at each touchpoint, revealing areas where we could enhance the user experience
